Did you have to pull the headliner out to mount it?
No How did you come up with your spacing (front to back and side to side)? Found space where the rails sat flat then marked the holes. If you like send me a pm and I will measure and respond. Do you have any increased air noise / vibration or any loss in MPG? No Are the rails far enough apart to use a yakima fairing? Yes, I think so. I dont have one though I like the wind deflectors that are on mine. I have used them for years on other SUVs, trucks, etc and they cut out the wind noise and are easier to move, etc for carrying things. This was a very easy install even for a guy with an MBA and very few tools. Trust me..if I can do it I am convinced anyone can. |

I opted to purchase the proline roof slats 42' for $39.99 as opposed to the $120 yakima or thule ones. They come with everything you need to secure to the roof. I already had the yakima control towers and the landing pad #1s as well as the steelhead bike trays. You can use whatever size cross bar you want but mine are the 48' ones and they fit great. Proline sells the kit pretty cheap but all I needed was the roof tracks.
Here is the link Proline #ES Roof Rack End Slat Tracks. For Thule and Yakima Tracker Mount Racks. The Proline roof rack end track slats are a versatile solution for attaching the Thule Tracker II roof rack with the TK1 fit kit or the Yakima Control Tower roof luggage racks with landing pad #1 to the roof of your car or truck. |
