Soooo.... I had to trade in my fronty because my wife needed third row seating :(

We bought a 2013 Pathfinder... It's pretty sweet but has too much fancy **** going on for me. I'm looking to snag an older frontier and came across a really clean 99 frontier with 130k miles on it for 6k. How well are the motors on those trucks? I was also looking at a 99 Tacoma. I hear the tacos during that year are indestructible. Obviously I know this is a frontier forum but what can you guys tell me about these first gen frontys vs older tacos?

No lights. No power locks. Can't even get the vehicle out of gear.
Totally dead.
I hear a clicking noise down by my left knee and the key/car icon flashes intermittently.
When I get home I'll upload pics and video. I'm currently stuck at an intersection waiting for AAA.
I'm thinking ignition module. Other ideas?
