I had over a 1,000lbs of hardwood flooring in the bed for an hour+ trip and it did just fine.
Braking will be somewhat compromised so leave yourself extra distance for that.
It had the truck squatting too so big bumps had me bottoming out the rear suspension ever so slightly.

I'd say you could do it in 4 trips no sweat if you take it easy.

Or borrow a trailer, our trucks are rated at 6,500 towing if I remember correct.
