First Time Truck Owner Here
Well, I say first time but my first truck was actually an '85 Nissan Datsun whatever diesel. My sister flipped it (she was OK) so my dad and I cut off the top of the truck, removed the hood, windshield, doors, and tailgate. It sat parked out in the wilderness for a year or two, so all the animals plucked the foam out of the seats. That truck was awesome fun to drive (top speed of 80 MPH even after all of the weight reduction) but dangerous as hell. I didn't have my license yet, but I learned to drive on it. I came home from school one day and my dad sold it out from under me for a couple hundred bucks.
Anyway, I had an '03 Sentra Spec-V until yesterday. I got tired of all the problems (ate a butterfly valve screw, crank position sensor, oil problems, etc) so I tried it in on an SE-V6 last night.
So.... what do I need to know about the truck? Like with the QR25 (at least on the Sentra) you HAD to use an aftermarket header and lock tite the butterfly valves screws. On that car, it wasn't a question of "if" but a question of "when" will the screws/precat get eaten by the engine.
