Their is hard water spot remover made by a few companies that I use in my detail business, that works well. Yes you should wax the truck after using the hard water spot remover.

I've heard of folks using clr on paint, but because clr is caustic, even highly diluted amounts will soften and damage the clear coat. I wouldn't advise it !

I would advise parking your truck elsewhere as well as buying a car cover and approaching the apt management and asking if their willing to relocate your parking space to keep your truck from getting water spots, since it's their fault I'd make them responsible !

I use the Mequiars hard water spot remover all the time and buy it by the case !

3M light compound will take off spots as well , but it takes longer this way

3M™ Scratch Remover

Safely and effectively removes grade 1200 or finer sand scratches, other fine scratches, medium oxidation, coarse swirl marks or water spots, and leaves a fine finish. Excellent for hand compounding applications.
  • For machine or hand use
  • Clear coat safe
  • Easy to use
