Slight rattle at cold start seems to be valve lifters... there's been a couple threads floating around here on that; just search titles for "rattle" and "startup" and you should find it.
Seafoam is like an uber-detergent you use to flush your whole system of excess (carbon? I believe?) and other buildups the normal detergents in oils and fluids don't remove. It's pretty useful stuff apparently; you can get it at any auto parts store. I haven't tried it yet but there's a really good thread on that too... again, search for "seafoam" and you should find it.
