Let me clarify something for you!!!! I was at the track guys! I have a clean driving record.. I dont think I have gone over 75-80 on the freeway with this truck. I just wanted to know how to disable the damn thing..

the speed limit here is 75.
When I'm doing 95 in the vette on a wide open highway.....thats not even a stretch for that vehicle(it can do 170), and I can STILL outstop/handle/accelerate pretty much anything driving on the road. At 95. So that vehicle at 95 is probably safer then alot of the rattletraps people drive at 70.

I do 85 in the truck. Its comfortable. Its not a problem. its only 10 over. Highway Patrol (DPS) starts pulling people over at 11mph over. I get passed by mini vans all the time. With kids. in Car seats. All the time.

For Christ sake, 95 is only 20 over. (here anyway)

So its all perspective. Lets not get into a flame war over it. If there's no one around, and loads of open space....who cares how fast you go. Worst that will happen is a single vehicle accident, and then whoops, that sucks, your fault.

Your right, you did, and its unfortunate. I don't know why people feel the need to tell people what to do on this forum, but they always seem to. And this thread will go down hill, feathers will get ruffled, it will get locked, and its all a shame.

if you had searched you would have found the answer to the governor question(its been discussed before) But I'll let you off this time
This is exactly correct.. But thats the way it is.. I was hoping that within the bashing, someone would answer my question on here.. I was at work and didnt really have a whole lot of time to search. I later(at home) found the answer I was looking for. For some reason I find myself wanting to go out and crash @ 45 on the freeway just to prove someone wrong on here// 90% of the accidents that I have seen involved someone that was going to damn slow..
