I dont think I've ever heard anyone blowing a front half shaft under normal use(only blown CV's because of excessive lift)
The front diff is not a D60HP by any means, but again, most people seem satisfied with it. There was a rash of blown ones a good long while ago (maybe a year now?) but I wheel the **** outta mine, and dont worry about it.
