I find it amusing that Will believes he is the injured party. His customers have seen devastating damage to installed gaskets. Naturally, they turn to WRP for guidance and a means to make them whole. Rather than a proactive approach, Will has chosen to blame the customer. Quite naturally, this p*ss-off group continues to press their issue which is perceived as saying the same thing over and over. Consider this: if you do not feed a baby, does it not continue to cry for nourishment? Is it reasonable to expect this baby to “get the message” and stop crying? No, until Will’s customer base is satisfied, this endless thread will continue. Unless of course, the business principles as exemplified by the flying of the Jolly Roger are invoked and Will just tells everyone to f**k off but keep buying.
Technically, torquing to 8 lb-in is very low. Is this limitation based on the gasket or the plastic plenum for which the gasket is designed for? How come the damage is not seen in the original plenum gaskets installed in conjuction with the new gaskets? Both sets of gaskets see the overtorquing. Will has no evidence that over-torquing is the root cause. I will provide a big hint: If too much torque is the issue, install an IMS with too much torque and run it for a while. See what happens. To be fully compliant with the rules of science, a control also needs to be installed and observed concurrently. But this is asking too much for a company that believes science only interferes with sales.
