According to Nissan news automatic first gear is 3.8:1 and manual is 4.4:1 (rounded)

as for the D44 part of the argument, historically D44's break two things, ring gears and axle shafts. Axle shafts you get in chromoly ( hehe) and the only way to reduce ring gear breakages is reduce gear ratio. The bigger gear is stronger. (so 4.11 are stronger then 3.13's). D44s do NOT really have a problem with pinions breaking....
