No, nothing came in contact with the gaskets prior to, or during install, because I thought about that while thinking maybe I should use something on them to get them to squeeze into the seating channels easier, but I didn't want to take a chance with anything having a corrosive effect on them. In stock form the gaskets are only touching aluminum on one side. With the IMS they are in contact with aluminum on both sides. So it's not the same heat transfer as stock. They are sandwiched by aluminum. The gaskets on the intake plenum are still fresh as a daisy.
