140 liters

Well I got my long range tank fitted yesterday.

Now I know I said it was going to be a 160l unit but here is the story.

160l unit ordered, but didnt arrive in time for my one day off to get it fitted(2 hour trip to get there for me), lucky I phoned first so I told him to call when it had arrived and I would arrange some time to get down and get it fitted.

No call so I asked my local guy in town, biggest he can get is a 140l, price is almost the same(bit lower) but fit cost $100 bucks less so I say go for it.
He makes the call to order it, one has just been finished and is ready to go, leaves Perth next day and is here two days later (long trip trust me) being local I can get in as soon as he had time for the fitting so long story short (too late I know) its in.

No pics yet, but looking at it the only way I can see it is through the rear passenger wheel arch, doesnt hang low or buldge out anywhere.

The filling was painfull, $1.58 per/l for desiel here, but will be intersting to see how many k's per tank I get back.
If it all works ok I am guessing about 1200k's
Have about 5 weeks of work left before a trip so will keep an eye on the town driving compared to the long haul, will have about 10'000k's to do for my 4 week holiday, cant wait.
