I totally agree. I could have easily afforded to buy a truck for a great deal more money ($40-$50K). Why pay more for something that is not really much better. At the time, the tacoma had a longer bed and had higher stance. The bed and the higher stance was not worth $6K to me. I think I made the smarter choice. Btw, back in 2005-2006, the Tundra was selling for only a little more than the Frontier because of the huge rebates. If I could have found a 4x4 that a dealer was willing to deal on, I probably would have bought it (Tundra Crew Cab or Extended Cab). Unfortunately, the dealers only had deals on 2 wheel drives. Like I said in previous posts, I have a cabin in the mountains where there is snow and I tow a boat. A 4x4 is almost a must.
