. Anyway, I re-read Mainrunr's post, I thought we were on the same page, but I don't think we really are. I for one know that no matter how fast that dumb conveyor belt is going in any direction the plane is going to take off the same way as it would on the ground. My previous arguments were about the amount of thrust it would take to cancel out friction, and whether or not it could take off if it were going 0 mph relative to the ground, obviously that is not possible.
