at least you guys have a warranty... try getting something done that would be covered under warranty only if you raised hell, and doing it after your warranty expires. I swear, almost every dealership is soooo cheap. yet, the dealer my dad bought his silverado from (brand new in 01) is owned by the only Toyota dealer in Hawaii, the bed cable recall letter came from the dealer before the factory. plus he didnt have any problems with it anyways...
the only time we had problems with a bed cable was in a 1998 silverado (3/4 ton) back in 05 when we visited Georgia and hauled almost a ton of bricks from a brick yard and they decided to almost fall out of the back. GM wouldnt cover that under any circumstance, but were rather impressed.

I have a truck. It gets me from A to B. Why I spend so much money changing it, I will never know. Is there a cure for this disease? I have no idea what I would be using all my money for if there was a cure.
