Unhappy Truck won't start

My wife has a 2002 Frontier S/C that died on the way home the other day. She managed it to restart it and get it home. The next day I started it no problem but after a few minutes the idle got slower and slower and finally died. I have not been able to start it since.

Now I know these tyoes of problem are almost impossible to solve over the internet but I do have a question. When I turn the key forward (not engaging the starter) there is a clicking noise coming from under the vehicle, right by the tranny. Is this normal? Can someone tell me what this noise is? It sounds like a relay that is clicking really fast.

EDIT: Truck is turning over. Starter/Battery/Alternator all fine.

BTW, the truck has no CEL and I have replaced the fuel filter and checked the air filter. Tomorrow I am going to check for spark to help rule out a ignition problem.

Thanks!
