Bed/Cab alignment

I just bought a used 03 CC LB XE and I noticed that the edge of the cab where it meets the edge of the bed is offset on the driver's side. If I look from the back left corner of the truck straight ahead to the front, I can see that the side of the bed is slightly in more at the edge where it meets the cab. The bed and the cab are not flush even. But the whole truck is straight, still original paint and doesn’t look there has been any accident. The previous owner also confirmed it. Is this a factory thing?Does any of you have this situation with yours?
